These are just a few of our favourite places- there are endless other things to do and places to visit if you have children or specific interests such as classic cars or aeroplanes. In the summer, there are lots of local music & beer festivals, village fetes, open gardens and craft exhibitions- follow us on instagram for dates. The local area is full of cosy gastropubs with roaring log fires and hearty meals, which make this the perfect destination in cooler months too. We recommend booking in advance though as they are very popular.

Or if you just want to turn up and be spontaneous, bring some comfortable walking shoes and/or your bike and relax whilst exploring the local countryside. Armada Cottage is a great base to explore from, as well as being an extremely comfortable spot to return to at the end of your day.
